"I have known David Warriner for almost 30 years. During the last 10 years I became more involved with David when he was managing the Alice Springs Pastoral Company and later Capricorn RPM, of which I was a founding partner with him. I have always found David to have a superb and broad understanding of both land and cattle enterprises as well as the cattle and beef markets in which we operate. He has a very good corporate mind, is practical and results driven. His (and broader family’s) integrity, work ethic, values and character are unquestionable."
Overview
Vision
“Continued global food demand, improving affordability metrics and Australia’s geographic position to supply will sustain demand for agri-products well into the future. However, the cost price squeeze in Australia will continue. Those producers and processors who adopt technology on a comprehensive and continuing basis will outperform the low-cost leaders.” Modern, tech savvy, experienced and practical management options are very limited. DWsAgricon is a great option providing world class cost and productivity management.
DW’s Agricon will offer the best management service and advice based on a corporate-based philosophy of transparency and accountability to deliver practical solutions empowering productivity and efficiencies delivering superior profit and cashflows.

"I have known David for many years, mostly through his tenure as President of Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association.
Whilst there, David took the NTCA to a more transparent and disciplined organisation. He fabricated a good group of directors and management team who collectively led the organisation on a very focussed path. Protecting cattlemen’s land tenure rights and maintaining access to the live export markets against many dissenters was David’s ongoing focus.
Later David assisted me with a commercial property development project. His experienced and pragmatic input was invaluable to us."

"David was the General Manager of Alice Springs Pastoral Company from early 2002 until early 2006. During this time David was instrumental in restructuring ASPCo both from an operational and corporate perspective. We redesigned the operating plans to achieve better efficiencies as well as implementing a significant capital works program targeting livestock and pasture productivity. We redesigned the marketing strategy by developing a very successful supply chain relationship with Coles Supermarkets delivering Certified Organic Cattle to their abattoir on a weekly basis. This went on to become arguably the most successful supply chain relationship Coles had at that time. David has a comprehensive depth of knowledge and experience across large beef and cattle operations and with his commitment, integrity and work ethic I do not hesitate in recommending him."
Management
David Warriner’s Agricon specialises in: agribusiness management, business administration, project management, management and operating plans, human resource management, and workplace health and safety.
Agribusiness Management
Core competency is managing large northern operations including:
Identification and focus on key profit drivers/opportunities.
Land and infrastructure assets.
Livestock assets.
Provisions of all administration requirements: strategic and business plans, policies and manuals, budgets, monthly/quarterly reports, incident/major activity reports.
Market research: land and livestock.
Project Management
We manage specific projects including:
Property development.
Infrastructure planning and development.
Land acquisitions and sales.
Livestock and land leasing.
Livestock purchasing and selling.
Organic certification.
Policy and manual development.
Human Resource Management
In the Australian rural sector, Human Resources are now difficult to source, expensive, and somewhat untrained which results in workers being aware of their rights and not so much their obligations. Further, productivity and risk are becoming greater issues. These issues can be addressed by managing workers so they are both productive and satisfied. This is predominately achieved by workplace agreements that underpin the following:
Evaluation
Training (manuals and policy implementation)
Safety
Working, living and recreation conditions
Workplace Health and Safety
With land owners now being seen as wealthy by the likes of legal and IR fraternities, they are also being seen to be worthy of legal pursuit.
Workplace Health and Safety laws require training, risk of injury mitigation, and accountability by the management of the workplace. This is not at all difficult for the land owner or employer providing they can show documentation providing good practise such as:
Induction and policy manuals
Risk identification and mitigation strategies
Incident reporting and rectification strategies
Minuted workplace safety meetings with employees
David Warriner worked for the Tipperary group of companies from late 2007 until early 2015 as the Manager of the group properties in the Northern Territory.
David was a loyal and honest employee who had a great knowledge of the pastoral industry in Northern Australia. David is very well known by all who are in the pastoral industry and by those who purchase cattle in the Australia and abroad.
I would be pleased to speak about David with anyone to whom this reference is provided.
"I was chairman of Beef Australia from 2001 to 2012; during this time I got to know David Warriner through his involvement with the organisation as a director of Beef Australia Ltd.
David Warriner was a director of the Beef Australia board for 6 years between 2006 and 2012. During this time David proved to be a great asset to Beef Australia and therefore to the Australian beef industry generally. He fulfilled his duties as a director with distinction and was a positive role model for the younger and less experienced directors. David has unmatched experience and skills in the beef industry gained through his employment and involvement with the industry for his entire working life.
As a director of Beef Australia David was a valued participant who represented the cattle industry well by his unwavering attendance at meetings, his involvement in decision making and his implementation of decisions.
If you would like any further information regarding David's involvement with Beef Australia feel free to ring me on 07 4931 4011"
